I'm taking part in the 2014 Blackmores Sydney Running Festival Half Marathon to raise much needed funds for Cure Cancer Australia.

Their role in the cancer space is an important one. They act as a front line source to provide vital start up funding for innovative, ground-breaking research projects across all types of cancer. Since 1967, they have provided over $22.5 million in vital start up funding for close to 500 ground breaking cancer research projects nationally. 

Through gaining funding from Cure Cancer Australia, their brilliant young Australian researchers are granted a much needed opportunity to build on their ideas and develop a platform for their life-long aspiration to find a cure for cancer.

Untold thousands of lives have been saved around the world as a consequence of the knowledge gained and the treatments developed from Cure Cancer Australia’s funded research projects.

This September, I’m going to be sweating it out and doing my best to complete a gruelling course over the Harbour Bridge, around Sydney's CBD and finishing at the Opera House steps a distance of 21kms

I am honoured to be a part of this amazing race and helping a great cause, and I’d really appreciate your support in this endeavour.
