Caring to Create Change

Story

Dear Generous Supporters

I'm taking part in the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival 2014, hoping to raise much needed funds for CatholicCare Sydney's Refugee Program.

This September, I’m going to be running, walking, strolling and enjoying the 9 klm route that will take me over the Harbour Bridge and around Sydney's CBD to finish at the Opera House.

Supporting refugees who come to Australia fleeing war, hunger, poverty and persecution is a cause close to my heart. How blessed are we to live in our 'Lucky Country".

I am honoured to be a part of this amazing race to help a great cause, and I’d really appreciate your support in this endeavour.

Donations of $2 and over are tax deductible. Your receipt will be sent to you automatically via email.

Team CatholicCare Sydney aims to raise $30,000 for its Refugee Program. Here’s how your contribution can make a difference:

$10 - CatholicCare case worker is able to meet with Refugees and assess their needs

$20 - CatholicCare case worker is able to manage a new case and provide referrals to find appropriate services such as food, banks, housing and counselling

$50 - Enables a CatholicCare Case Worker to complete a resume and cover letter for a Refugee

$100 - 3 hours of pre-employment training for a Refugee in areas such as cultural differences, communication and presentation

$250 - All of the above + a mock job interview and assistance with job searching

Thank you for your support and for helping to make a difference!

Warmest

Gerardine
