Hi All,

Just like last year, I'll be running the Blackmores half marathon (21km) on September 22. Except unlike last year, I don't want to do it  for the sole purpose of feeding my massive ego.  This year I've tried to tone down on constantly boring everyone with my time/distance improvements (partially because I haven't trained to the same extent, so there's less to gloat about), and actually run for a good cause. Yes, just like how a broken clock is right twice a day, I'm finally going to do a good thing.

As you may know, I recently lost my mother to cancer. Although it was tough, I spoke to a lot of you about it and I found that speaking about it really helped me. I thank you all for that. But I also realised that there are so many of you that have lost a loved one to cancer, or know someone who is currently fighting the disease.

Which is why this year I'm running the half marathon to fundraise for Cancer Council NSW. Your donation will Cancer Council NSW continue their important work, which includes research and support services for the sick.
