Run 21k for Heart Research - Run 21k in Honour of Dad
Story
This September I am running my first HALF MARATHON - taking part in the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival 2014. My longest ever run is 15k.
I do so in honour of my dad - Barry. Dad passed away back in February 2012 from Heart Failure. When Dad died he only had 13% pumping capacity. As a young man Dad was a very good runner and in recent years I have taken it up more than ever. In fact my favourite run takes me to Bass and Flinders where I look across to Bundeena where we spread his ashes over 2 years ago.
So my 21 k run this September will raise research funds for the Heart Research Institute - who do such a great job seeking to prevent what took Dad. My run will be in honour of 'the great BL'.
I am wrapped to be a part of this amazing race and helping a great cause, and I’d really appreciate your support in this endeavour.
Thank you for your support and helping to make a difference!
Rob
