Story

Well here goes........I have never done anything like this before.

Almost 10 years ago I heard the words, 'You have cancer'. Thanks to the research and donations of others I was cured and went on to raise my 4 year old daughter Georgia and eventually be blessed with Arabella.

I'm taking part in the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival 2014 and hoping to raise much needed funds for further Cancer research.

This September, I’m going to be sweating it out and doing my best to complete my first road marathon on  a gruelling course over the Harbour Bridge, around Sydney's CBD and finishing at the Opera House steps...

I am honoured to be a part of this amazing race and helping a great cause, and I’d really appreciate your support. Even $5 will help me reach my goal.

Thank you for your support and helping to make a difference!

Kel x

Leukaemia Foundation of Australia

The Leukaemia Foundation is the only national not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the care and cure of patients and families living with blood cancers (leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma) and related blood disorders.

The Leukaemia Foundation supports patients and their families by providing services at no cost to the patient. Our services include providing disease specific information, emotional support and advocacy, financial assistance, educational programs to help people live with their disease, safe transport to and from treatments and access to fully furnished 'home away from home' accommodation for regional families.

Millions of dollars are also invested annually to Australia’s leading researchers to develop better treatments and eventually a cure.

The Leukaemia Foundation receives no government funding and relies on money raised from the community to continue to support patients and their families affected by leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma or related blood disorder.
