This 21^st September I am planning to run my second ever half marathon around beautiful Sydney Harbour. It’s been six years since I ran my first half marathon in London. I'm running to raise money for Hope Place.

Hope Place is a newly established provider of emergency accommodation for women and children fleeing domestic violence or facing homelessness. It is desperately needed - located on the NSW South Coast near Batemans Bay, it is the only facility of its type along the coastline between Nowra and the Victorian border, a distance of almost 400km.

Hope Place is struggling to gain sustained sources of funding but still manages to house up to 40 women and children at any time. It provides them with a place of safety, and also links them in to other services to support education, health, and legal needs.

This spring, staff are hoping to install a BBQ and outdoor paved area ready for families to enjoy in summer. Your donations will go directly towards paying for this.

Please help get Hope Place closer to their first sausage sizzle! You can do this by giving me your hard earned cash to demonstrate the remarkable skill of putting one foot in front of the other again and again - for 21km.
