Team Carers NSW
Story
A team of talented, fit and dedicated staff from Carers NSW is taking part in the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival 2014 and hoping to raise much needed funds for our great organisation. Carers NSW is the peak organisation representing over 850,000 informal, family and friend carers, caring for somone with a chronic condition, disability, mental illness, drug and/or alcohol dependency, or who may be frail aged. Carers can be all ages and are everywhere in our community.
This September we'll be sweating it out and doing our best to complete a challenging course over the Harbour Bridge, around Sydney's CBD and finishing at the Opera House steps...to help support carers in NSW!
We are all honoured to be a part of this amazing race and helping a great cause, and we would really appreciate your support in this endeavour.

Carers NSW
Carers NSW is the peak organisation for carers in NSW. A carer is any individual who provides unpaid care to a relative or friend with a disability, mental illness, drug and alcohol dependencies, chronic condition, terminal illness or who is frail aged. We offer information, support, referral and counselling for carers and also engage in education and training for service providers and develop policy and partnerships to better support carers.
